SOLAR PANELS
Solar energy is the cleanest and most inexhaustible
of all known energy sources and is an excellent
alternative for heating a pool. It basically
means circulating the pool water through solar
panels located on a south-facing roof or an
area facing south where a support structure
can be erected.
As with domestic solar
heating, these panels are most effective
in terms of heating indoor pools when
used in conjunction with a back-up
form of heating (heat exchanger or
boiler).
For outdoor pools, solar panels are
the ideal heating system.
We are delighted to launch a pioneering
new product onto the Irish market:
“Texsun” solar panels
from Sweden, which are flexible, almost
impossible to damage and are extremely economical to install. |

GEOTHERMAL
Geothermal refers to the use of ground water
which, at a specific depth (depending on
location), has a constant temperature. This
water can be pumped to the pool heat exchanger,
where the heat of the ground water is transferred
to the pool water. Since the running costs
only involve pumping the ground water, it’s
an extremely cost-effective method of heating
the pool water once the capital costs of
locating suitable sources are accounted
for.
